The 1913 shilling is a difficult coin to obtain. Members who would like a higher quality 1913 shilling can supply their own coin, which we will encase and return to them in the 2013 distribution.
Centenary Project
The Australian Numismatic Society was formed in February
1913 in Sydney.
In 2013 we will celebrate our Centenary.
Members will received an encased Australian coin or a medal each year
to our Centenary.
The 2013 Medal is a 1913 shilling encased in an alumimium sheath with
the Society Logo, all encased in a 3mm thick copper ring, see image
below.

Members who would like a higher quality 1913 shilling can supply
their own coin, which we will encase and return to them in the 2013
distribution.
Members who do not supply their own coin will be given a medal with
an average condition coin.

We have also purchased some 1913 shillings in F to VF to assist members in obtaining better graded shillings. These are available for purchase at the prices listed and will be encased and marked for the purchasing member. This is the medal you will be given in 2013. The shillings can be viewed lower down this page.

These are available for purchase at the prices listed and will be encased and marked for the purchasing member. This is the medal you will be given in 2013. The shillings can be viewed below. If you are interested in any of these shillings please email Rod Sell at rodsell@rodsell.com and advise the shilling number so we can make sure it is still available and then make your payment. As the shillings are sold, the purchasers name will replace the number. When it has been encased the medal will be displayed above and the shilling will be removed from the list.
