Aussie Winter.

From
Colin Thomas
A true larrikin of the hobby but a man with
a heart of gold. Aussie was never afraid to speak his mind on any
subject which
he had an opinion on. He, at one time, lived in the suburb of Manly,
Brisbane,
and although I never saw it, he reckoned he had an oil drum in his back
shed
full of pennies. So heavy was this drum that it needed a block and
tackle to
lift it. He wrote the first serious study on Australian Bread Tokens of
which
he had an extensive collection having travelled all over to obtain
various
examples for his collection.
