The Australian Numismatic Society
Graeme
Stevens.

From
Colin Thomas.
Graeme was a well known collector. Blind at the
age of 21, Graeme never allowed his blindness to impede his collecting
habits.
He had a remarkable memory for names, places and numismatic data. A
person only
had to say one word to him for Graeme to immediately know who that
person was.
He was, at various times, President and Treasurer of the ANS Queensland
Branch.
His collection of Philippine banknotes, many of them rare revolutionary
items,
was inspiring and Graeme could describe each and every one of them
despite
never having actually seen them. Over many years, Graeme was the
recipient of
many awards, awards that he was most certainly worthy of. He
had a razor-sharp
sense of humour and enjoyed the odd joke or two.
