The Australian Numismatic Society
Stewart
McLeod.

From Colin Thomas.
Stewart was a dedicated numismatist with a nice
collection of Queensland medallic history. Produced many wonderful
cased
displays of his material often containing rarities seldom, if ever,
seen. Was a
prolific writer on various numismatic subjects including English
tokens,
another collecting area in which he excelled. Stewart was a very
interesting
man to speak with who had a wide range of subjects on which he could
talk. He
attended the annual conference on one occasion and enjoyed the
fellowship of
other members. He enjoyed delving into the early history of convicts in
Australia, particularly Queensland and had a collection of artifacts
from this
period.
