Meeting 975. 10th May, 1999.

There were 12 members and 2 visitors present.

General Business:
Members were asked their opinions on the July joint meeting with Queensland.  It was decided that the next meeting in 2000 should be at Port Macquarie
The meeting in July is short talks and 4 members volunteered to give talks.
The Topic for the August meeting has been changed to a talk by Dr Nicholas Hardwick on the process on a
study of the coins of Chios.

Theme for the Night:  Auction.
C.P. had prepared a catalogue with 41 lots and an additional 7 lots were added by new vendors on
the night.  It was an interesting auction with lots of competative bidding which made life very easy for our
auctioneer Colin.  Most lots reached estimates and 7 lots were sold above estimate, the best being lot 16 a
Roman, Constantine, AE folles, 307-337 A.D. London Mint nEF which sold for $19 against an estimate of $15.
It total $349 was spent on 47 lots as 1 lot was passed in.  There were 4 vendors and 8 bidders, and a good night was had by all.

M. L.:- 1912 Coronation medal by Shire Donald in Victoria; South Australia  1887 medal for the Town Hall at Laura; Hong Kong coin pack for the David Jones May 1969 Fair.
B.T:-  Mothers day Olympic pin; Russian 1978 Olympic Guest Badge.
J.V:-  Money Box with a water wheel.
M.B:- Royal Easter Show, Champion Harness Bronze Medal, and Medal for entering the Grand Parade
